Faberge Egg

The Wednesday Stamper theme of eggs really got me scratching my head. (Could I say my brain was scrambled!?) Then I went and looked up images of Faberge eggs. This is my hand-drawn version of one.

The sparkle on the card hasn't come through the scan again, but now that my camera has been returned from being left behind by my daughter on a Spanish Exchange trip (!), I can show you a photo of it.
After watercolouring the background with garnet and fired brick, and then stamping on it with raspberry, I rubbed the pearlescent tinting on the background at the end to give a lovely sheen.

Stamps : AudDesign swirl

Inks : Versamark pen; DI fired brick; Impress garnet; VersaColor Raspberry, DalerRowney pearlescent tinting; H2Os cherry sorbet, Passion, Garnet, Gold Dust
