The Theme Thursday challenge is a card with a masculine theme. I wiped gesso over the cardstock with a babywipe, and then the dabbers on top of that when dry.

Ocean's edge

The Theme Thursday topic is beach or nautical. This didn't come out quite as intended, and I'm not altogether happy with it, but I know someone who'll appreciate it.
The background was made with the rubbing after cleaning the brayer, which gives it the waves effect.

Love is in the air

The Created byHand challenge was to use the word 'love', and the Theme Thursday theme is 'Couples', so when saw this image on the Tuscan Rose CD 3 I knew I had to put them together.

I treated myself to a new computer; which is wonderful. The internet connection is much faster (after the initial hiccup of not being able to get online at all), I no longer have to wait 10 minutes for it to boot up, and the memory is amazing, which means I can view all the images on the above mentioned CD rather than about a quarter of them!

Hearts

Well, a belated Happy New Year to everyone. I'm back after a much needed rest. I didn't realise how run down I'd got until I stopped! Christmas for music teachers and their musical children tends to get a bit manic!

Here's my first offering - a contribution to the Theme Thursday challenge entitled Vintage Valentine.

Housekeeper

The Theme Thursday challenge theme week is just vintage. I had so many ideas I didn't know which to leave out. However, I did know that I wanted to use this image from DarkRoom Door, which I stained with distress ink. I also wanted to give her a role. Every scan I took of her ended up distorted, so I resorted to photographing her on my floor!

May the sun always shine on you

The Theme Thursday challenge is to make a purple 4x4. Easy!!

I don't think you can see the embossing on the quote very well, so I overstamped to give it more definition. Often when I do mad things like that it goes wrong, but this was right first time!

The Theme Thursday challenge is about Marie Antoinette. I wanted to recreate a portrait for her (a la Ros). The original background is very dark, but I had a piece of card left over from a project that suited her perfectly.
