Splat technique

I used this technique a while back. I think Patti Behan gave it a proper name when she demo-ed it on her blog, but as I can't remember it, 'splat' will do.

I made this atc for the acrylics paint challenge on Saturday Workout.

The Theme Thursday challenge is to make a purple 4x4. Easy!!

I don't think you can see the embossing on the quote very well, so I overstamped to give it more definition. Often when I do mad things like that it goes wrong, but this was right first time!

Black Crow

This is an atc I made on a spooky theme for Inkurable Stampers. I find crows spook me, with their flapping wings and terrible cawing.
I wanted a soft border, so I sanded the edges and sponged with distress ink.

Oriental bird

The Gothic Arches theme this week is turquoise - my favourite colour!!

I've added 3 extra challenges from 2Peas - a card of a different size, an unusual embellishment, and sparkle. I used the blue metallic RubOn on the coin to dull down the brightness of the gold. The difference in colour between a scan and a photo is amazing, but on my screen the scan is truer.

The Make a Moo or Two challenge this week is clocks. This theme appealed to me again, and to it I've added a 2Peas challenge to make a card from a different size to normal. I feel with items this small that I want to use them in a card, otherwise I've no idea what to do with them!

I'm sure experienced Moo-ers will tell me they swap them or something.---

Batik flowers

The Tag You're it challenge is to alter a fabric flower. To this I've added a challenge from 2Peas to include pp, stamping and some ribbon.

The stamped flowers are cut out of batik fabric, backed with vilene.

The Theme Thursday subject is Road Trip. I've always loved this stamp - with all the travel ephemera included on it, and the obvious enjoyment of the passengers. I wanted to give the impression that they were actually going somewhere.
