I found this great image on flickr for the Gothic Arches theme of chocolate. I'm not sure what the 4 represents - something to look up!

Beaded Feather
I really enjoyed making beads for the Saturday Workout challenge, although feel they would look better on a hanging or canvas than a card. Something to try another day. Also, looking at the card as a photo, the bird stamp would have been better in a darker colour. If you click on the photo you get a close up.
I made the beads by coiling long triangular coloured strips of paper around a cocktail stick. and then winding metallic thread around that. After covering with versamark, I dipped the bead into Amazing Glaze for a couple of layers.

Imagination is the eye of the soul
I usually find the moo size daunting, but was inspired to participate in this week's theme of quote for the Make a Moo or 2 challenge. The black border is just background, not part of the Moo. The quote is by Joseph Joubert, a French essayist.

Simplicity
I've missed the Tag You're It challenge since it closed down, but am very pleased to see that Frankie has set up a new site for tag lovers called Tag It On. This tag below is to wish her well, and uses the theme of blossom as a 'pre-opening' challenge.

Mannequin
The ATC Wednesday theme is lace. Rather than use real lace, I thought I'd use a lace stamp, which I batiked and overstamped. This was the best focus I could manage.

Birds of a feather will gather together
I made this card for the Crazy Amigos theme of proverbs or sayings. It's a variation on a card I made a year or so ago, but promptly lost! I prefer this version.

Art ticket
The ATC Wednesday theme is modern. I wasn't quite sure how to interpret this theme, but looking at modern art in google pictures, I think this atc might fit the bill. The background is a photo of a rusty car bumper from adrisbow on flickr, but looks like a textural canvas.

Pink blossom
The Graphicus challenge for April is to use blossom, and the colours pink and green. I used pebeo pearl touch in the centre of the flowers, but as it dried it took on the pink from the flowers, which is much softer.

Sophistication
The Saturday Workout technique for this week is Fossil Stone. The link to details of this technique is on the SaWo site. In real life the background on this atc is more green, and has a stippled effect.

Heart tag
The Crazy Amigo site has Tim Holtz as their theme for this week, so here is my tag using various products and techniques promoted by him.
For the background I placed drops of alcohol inks and blending solution on a craft mat, and smooshed a piece of glossy card over the top. Note to self - the silver mixative is difficult to stamp over!
---
Stamps: Tim Holtz Take Flight
Inks: Alcohol Inks Stream, Stonewashed, Butterscotch and Silver Mixative; Archival Black; Versamark Pen; Distress Crackle paint Brushed Pewter
Extras: Washer; Silver Ribbon; Mini Grungeboard heart; Detail Silver EP

Inkurable orange
This is a card I made for the Inkurable Stampers 1st birthday challenge to use their signature colours of orange, black and white. As I made a crazy patchwork background I'll also submit this for the Saturday Workout blog. After glueing the scrap pieces, I toned them down with gesso.

Congratulations TYI
After an enforced silence for 2 weeks because of a lack of internet service (don't ask!!) I'm now happily back at the computer, sharing my work and looking forward to seeing that of others.
The Tag You're It site is celebrating one year of challenges, so it's appropriate that happy birthday is their theme this week. The scanner never seems to be happy with the colour of my embellishments - they do match really! They will also match with some cardstock for me to make up into a card.

I'm pleased to use my winnings from one of the draws from TYI - just right for this project!
