Seek Adventure

The Tag You're It challenge this week is easy as 1, 2, 3.....

1 ribbon, 2 buttons and 3 eyelets/brads.

I keep getting this ribbon out to use on projects, but reject it in favour of others. So I made a co-ordinating background, and enjoyed using long neglected embellishments. The oranges are the same shade as that in the ribbon irl!

I sing of poppies

This is my contribution for the graphicus challenge which is twofold: yellow, and sing. I based the card around a poem by Mary A Barr:

I sing the Poppy! The frail snowy weed!
The Flower of Mercy! That within its heart
Doth keep "a drop serene" for human need,
A drowsy balm for every bitter smart,
For happy hours the Rose will idly blow;
The poppy hath a charm for pain and woe.

Dolce

This is my contribution for Art Creations Friday #17.

I'm so disappointed that the scanner has bleached the colour of the flowers - irl they match the green in her dress perfectly. Here they look so awful I was tempted to pull them off!

Mermaid Bath Salts

The Gothic Arches theme this week is fantasy; I chose a mermaid. I cannot tell you about the background paper except to say that I added a few details onto one of a series of backgrounds that a friend of mine gave me as a present. She knows my favourite colours well! The image came from the internet.

Pearly butterfly

Here's my contribution for the Tag You're It theme of wings. Using such a large brad has caused the butterfly to go slightly out of focus in the scanner, but it is 3D. I don't think you get the sheen from the Pearl Mixative either.
I coloured the Magic Mesh with the Alcohol Inks.
